PPCM symptoms can sometimes be mistaken for normal signs of pregnancy or a respiratory illness. If you notice any of these symptoms, especially if they are getting worse, it is important to talk to your healthcare provider right away.

Most women with PPCM will develop PPCM after giving birth. Although it is common to be tired, the other symptoms above are not considered normal in the postpartum period.
